Looking to the Glory

Looking to the Glory
watercolor by Dorothy Jean Bryars

How could it be,
most precious
Passover Lamb of God,
slain before the foundation
of the world?
Your body and blood was
enough to forgive my sins
and restore me back
to fellowship with God.

How could it be Lord Jesus?
Death could not hold you
in that grave.
You arose from the dead,
and ascended back to
the Father, where you
now live to make
intercession for me.

Eternal God who spoke the world into being,
How could it be?
You stooped down to my level,
looked into my eyes
and said,
“My child I love you, and it was
for you I died.”

And in my heart, Truth whispers—
Love’s full redemption price was paid
in full through the grace of
 our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our loving Kinsman Redeemer.

Have a Blessed Easter as you look to the glory
of the Cross and Resurrection.

For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you,,
On the day of salvation, I helped you.”
Indeed the right time is now.
Today  is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2

He Gives Songs in the Night

Even in the dead of Winter
When broken hearts fill with grief,
Even in darkest valley,
New songs are oft released.

Even in darkest night-time,
When eyes are bereft of light…
The One who sees and knows all
Still gives songs in the night.
