Walk With God

Lay to rest ghosts’ lying shadows,

Put them away where they belong.

Embrace Truth of timeless ages,

God is Love and on His Throne.

 Lay to rest life’s dis-appointments,

Put them away where they belong.

Embrace Love’s Divine appointments,

When you walk with God. you’re never alone.

Grace

What’s the one thing in your life you cannot do for yourself?

Here’s the good news to tuck into our hearts today.

“He has said My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12: 9).

When I look at this precious treasure of truth within God’s Word, I am reminded…

The One who laid down His life for me, is willing to pour His life and strength through me.

And for you!

This is His promise to hold on to through all the seasons of our lives.

He—Jesus Christ, Lord and Master
has said— taught and encouraged
My Grace—gracious gift of favor, loving-kindness and power
is—right now in this moment
sufficient— more than enough to meet your need
for you—yes He knows you by name
for power— His power flows through our weakness like dynamite
is perfected—to finish and complete the process of our journey of faith
in weakness—human strength of body and soul

Thank you El Shaddai, All Sufficient Lord and Master for pouring your
strength and power through our weakness. Light up our lives today with
the radiance of Jesus and empower us as over-comers through Jesus Christ
our Lord. Amen.

Heaven Sent

Today heaven-sent snow blankets the earth,
reminding us;
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;

though they are red as crimson,
they shall be like wool.”
 Isaiah 1:18

Spirit Wings

They say a wounded eagle flies to
its nest—lies on its back with outspread
wings, and waits for the warmth of the sun
to heal its wounds. Then rising with renewed strength, the mighty eagle spreads it wings

and takes flight, soaring once again toward the heavens.

If you are wounded and weary, worn out and needing strength, learn the lesson of the eagle. Fly to the empty nest awaiting you. Bask in the healing and strength of the Son’s presence, and rise up once again with Spirit wings, soaring with the One who makes all things new.

Those who trust in the LORD will find new strength.

They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

Sweeter Than Honey

IMG_1357.jpg- Honey comb

Last week I picked up a small cake of honeycomb from one of my favorite restaurants. True to the warm invitation
of this little country diner, “Company’s Coming”, sells these little jewels of
honeycomb from local bee keepers.

Oh my, it’s the sweetest, most luscious thing you ever put in your mouth. And
bound to satisfy a sweet tooth’s craving.

I believe our hearts crave something more than our necessary daily food. It goes beyond the need to fill our empty stomachs. I’m talking about spiritual hunger. When you have tasted everything the world has to offer, but deep down your soul
is empty. Hungry for something more.

I agree with the psalmist when he wrote God’s words are sweeter than honey straight from the comb. Honestly, there is nothing more satisfying than the precious God-breathed words I find in my Bible. It’s the bread of life Jesus spoke of when he declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” (John 6:35)

Have you tasted the sweetness of the Lord’s Word? If not, why not try it. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold. Sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb. Psalm 19:10
