Reshaped By the Potter

Picture Perfect?

IMG_1336

So it appears…
Yet first impressions
are often
proved wrong.

A quick pivot revealed
I was flawed
and damaged,

far from perfect!

Some might have
thrown me away,

or put me
on the auction block.

But the potter
saw value
in the
broken
vessel.

Reshaped and removed
the imperfections,
and placed a treasure
of love within.

The pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. Jeremiah 18:4

  1. With a quick pivot we reveal our flaw – I love the beauty in our chips, when God reveals Himself to fill them flawless. This is beautiful, Glenda, thank you . . .
from one damaged vessel to another šŸ™‚

  2. “He reached down and picked me up”…Holy Hands, our Holy God-picking up the fleshly “chipped vesels” we are. Simply overwhelming isn’t it?
Love you friend. I loved the post. šŸ™‚

    • Holy Hands, Holy God, picking us up, glueing us back together with Holy Love…all for His Holy purposes.
Overwhelming is right. Thanks for stopping by and adding your thoughts and encouragement.
      Hugs!

  3. Oh Glenda, I had that pattern when we were first married! What a great memory, and YES – that Pfaltzgraff chipped more than it should have! Reminds me of that book (Barbara Johnson?), God Uses Cracked Pots. Thank goodness!

    • Mine is an old set also, but felt led to use it in that shot, chips and all.
Amen to God uses us cracked pots and all…and yes I am grateful too!
Thanks Susan for being faithful to visit my blog…always appreciated and never taken for granted!
