Petals of Hope

All through the night our God is working,
Shining tapestry of light and life
around the Rose of Sharon.
Birthing comfort and peace
amidst tangled webs of conflict of heart.
Opening petals of hope,
emitting fragrance of love’s
thorny sacrifice
around the beautiful Rose.

I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys. Sg. of Soloman 2:1

  1. Is there a prayer to pray for all the negative things in this world? Lately I feel like there is a cloud constantly floating over me and my family and I am looking for signs that things will be alright. I could get thru this better if I knew it would all be alright.

  2. Pauline,

As I prayed about your question, I was reminded of several passages of scripture I often turn to. Have you considered the prayer that never fails? This is the way Jesus taught his disciples to pray: “Thy Kingdom come, They will be done.” (Matthew 6: 10)

Psalm 91 is a great prayer for protection for those who draw near to God.

Psalm 107 gives examples of many who cried out to God in the midst of storms. When they cried out, God answered and delivered them from their troubles.

Romans 8:28 promises “all things work together for good, for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.”

Philippians 4: 6-9 is a wonderful passage that promies The peace that passes all understanding.

Also I want to direct you to a website I often go to. http://www.meetmeinthemeadow.com by Roy Lessein. Roy often posts prayers to pray.

Father in heaven, I lift Pauline to you and pray that you will give her the peace of God that passes all understanding. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
