The air was fresher on the mountaintop
this morning. It rained again last night.
A fresh gentle rain from heaven.
With this scenic panoramic view,
I took my morning walk, smiling as I zigzagged back and forth on the steep, sloping ground of my back yard. And in the quiet of the morning, the words to the Psalm 19 filled my mind.
“The Heavens declare the Glory of God and the sky above
proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours out speech, and
night-to-night reveals knowledge.
There is no speech, nor are there words,
whose voice is not heard.
Their voice goes out through all the earth,
and their words to the end of the world.
In them he has set a tent for the sun,
which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber,
and like a strong man, runs its course with joy.
Its rising is from the end of the heavens,
and its circuit to the end of them,
and there is nothing hidden from its heat.” (Psalm 19: 1-6).
I walked in the sight of my Creator and listened for his voice. And grew
in the awareness of his great Love. This Love who sent rain from heaven
to water my soul.
Dear friends, Wherever you live, oceanside, flat lands, valley, or mountain top may your day be touched with fresh rain from heaven.
By Grace alone,
Glenda
